PART-TIME REFERENCE LIBRARIAN
The Sachem Public Library in Holbrook, NY is seeking a part-time librarian for the Adult Reference Department.
Job Description:
● Provide reference, research and reader’s advisory
● Assist patrons in the use of electronic & digital devices
● Share responsibilities for collection development and occasional programs
Required Qualifications:
● MLS from an ALA accredited library school or completion of 12 credits towards an MLS
● Strong computer & communication skills
● Commitment to proactive customer service
Hours:
This position is for 2 nights (5-9) per week and 2 Saturdays (9-5) a month; Sundays (12-5) are optional.
