Digital Asset Librarian, Benjamin Moore – NJ

Montvale, NJ based Benjamin Moore seeking an experienced and forward-thinking information professional who would be responsible for developing, coordinating and cultivating all Digital Assets activities. Primary responsibilities include gathering and cataloging all digital assets required across the IT and Marketing Departments in a centralized location that facilitates ease of use for all end users.

The successful candidate will work closely with department leadership to identify relevant content types, develop and/or capture the content and encourage the use of those resources across the company. This also involves actively managing the repository to ensure information is accurate, up-to-date, relevant and valuable.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead implementation and provide ongoing stewardship of the Digital Asset Manager (DAM) solution in alignment with end users requirements.
Create guidelines and resources for user support to enhance the discovery of information.
Maintain and develop key content for the library that includes guidance on use of effective metadata, completeness and quality of information.
Develop and deliver training programs on electronic resources to end users.
Work with colleagues and suppliers to ensure the innovative use of library as part of their primary job function.
In coordination with senior management, contribute to the enhanced cataloguing and processing of electronic resources.
Actively participate in internal and external networks to further the development and activities of the digital library services.
Assist with user inquiries and take share of general library administration.
Configure, test and adjust the library software to meet policy and procedural requirements.
Actively manage and develop the DAM, to include system updates and upgrades to new versions.
Required Skills
Qualifications:
Professional Certification in Librarianship / Information Management or equivalent work experience.
5 – 7+ year’s experience in library management information systems required.
Extensive experience working with electronic resources and digital media within a library and information services.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with developing and maintaining effective partnerships with suppliers of information services and the ability to liaise with both technical and non-technical users.
Strong commitment to customer care and the highest standards of service provision.
Experience with OpenText Media Management on Demand System
Experience of managing a discovery search engine desired.
Experience of delivering structured programs on the use of electronic and online resources desired.
Familiarity with copyright law and experience of web design and HTML desired
