Metadata Repository Administrator, Becton Dickinson – NJ

Becton Dickinson is seeking Metadata Repository Administrator.
The purpose of this role is assist in the development of the repository and then be the primary person responsible for its ongoing management and accuracy of its content.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Key contributor role in the initial design and launch of the Enterprise Metadata Repository
• Metadata Repository Administrator shall maintain the Enterprise Metadata Repository by :
• Engaging with multiple global stakeholders to ensure the information contained within the repository is up-to-date and accurate
• Ensures access rights to Metadata Repository are accurate- Author access versus Read-only access

Job Requirements

EDUCATION:   Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology with an emphasis on Web Management, Web Administration or related field.      

 

EXPERIENCE:  
•         0-3 years of professional experience in Data Management or Web Content Management
•         Understanding of Master Data activities
•         Highly organized and self-starting.      

 

SPECIAL SKILLS:  
•         Data Management Knowledge / Experience
•         Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability and confidence to interact with senior management
•         Strong communication (both written and verbal) and influence management skills and the ability to establish rapport with internal clients and colleagues
•         Able to drive project tasks to completion

 

KNOWLEDGE OF SPECIFIC PROCEDURES/PRACTICES:
•         Proven track record of data management
•         Understanding of Master Data activities and roles
•         Specific expertise in EVEREST design and integrated applications
