Research Librarian, Warburg Pincus LLC – NY
Warburg Pincus is seeking a Research Librarian.
Reports to: Director of Information Services
Responsibilities:
Research
- Fulfill a broad range of research requests, including market landscapes, industry overviews and forecasts, precedent transaction screenings, public and private company data and biographical information
- Assist users and colleagues with their research by providing direction and explaining internal and external resources
Periodicals
- Process subscription and publication orders and maintain a periodical cataloging and routing system
- Route and shelve periodical collection
Content Management
- Evaluate and recommend new sources of information
- Additional duties as assigned
- 5 years of professional experience in a corporate library, preferably in investment banking, consulting or legal
- Extensive experience with online databases such as; Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Dialog, Dealogic, Factiva, Factset, Lexis-Nexis, OneSource, Profound and ThomsonOne
- Fluency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
- Experience using one or more of the excel add-ins associated with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, FactSet or ThomsonOne is desirable
- Proven success supporting a demanding and intelligent client base
- Ability to multi-task/prioritize. Manage time effectively, good attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to meet tight deadlines and set priorities for specific assignments/competing projects
- Strong interpersonal skills; works independently and in a team
- MLIS / MLS Degree preferred
