Security Research Analyst, TimeWarner Inc. – NY

Time Inc. is seeking an experienced professional who is skilled in conducting open-source research that will play a pivotal role within the Corporate Security Department. Some additional responsibilities will include trend reporting, security assessments, and assisting with security metrics and awareness programs.



Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct open-source research to identify potential areas of risk and provide findings through written reports to various internal stakeholders in support of Company compliance with the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and UK Bribery Act.
• Use open sources to investigate, monitor and catalogue all threats directed at Company executives, officers, employees or facilities.
• Respond to requests for information on topics of interest (groups, threats, targets, etc.) as required.
• Perform data mining and analysis of data from varied sources and perspectives.
• Compile information, analyze findings, make interpretations and write comprehensive reports based on this data.
• Assist with the administration of employee travel programs. Prepare country briefs and travel advisories for executives and personnel as needed.
• Other duties as determined by the Vice President of Corporate Security.


Education/Experience:
• BA or BS degree required.
• Minimum of five 5 years of related experience in security/intelligence analysis.


Knowledge/Skills:
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication (both verbal and written) skills, as well as the ability to work and collaborate within the various Time Inc. business units and across all levels of employees, including executives.
• Thorough working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Adobe. Knowledge of LexisNexis, Factiva, World Compliance/World Check, Accurint/CLEAR and web based systems/programs preferred.
• Ability to write clear, concise and well-organized intelligence/research reports that are accurate and grammatically correct.
• Excellent research and documentation skills, including the ability to quickly research and provide analysis on complex and unfamiliar topics.
• Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks simultaneously to a successful completion.
• Strong familiarity with social media networking tools.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with diverse groups of individuals and functions, both internal and external.
• Ability to adhere to instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
• Instructional and supervisory capability and adaptability required.
