Project Manager – Knowledge and Content Management, Red Hat – Remote

Red Hat is seeking a Project Manager in Knowledge and Content Management to handle day-to-day activities and tasks for global services initiatives in the project quality and risk management (PQRM) team. This professional will be instrumental in assisting the PQRM team with the planning, execution, and communication of initiatives related to project quality, project tracking and execution, content and knowledge management, and overall communications. The ideal candidate will have experience with technical consulting projects, the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization, and proficiency in all project management disciplines.
Primary job responsibilities
  • Assist with the planning and execution of the Red Hat Consulting team’s internal initiatives
  • Update and manage the quarterly dashboard
  • Contribute to monthly status tracking of global consulting projects
  • Maintain the services internal project management office (PMO) methodology website and documentation with input from the field
  • Help advance the global customer satisfaction program to ensure that negative responses are being followed up on
  • Assist with clean-up and governance of technical and non-technical re-usable content
  • Coordinate ongoing content contribution and management from the global teams
  • Assist with the implementation of a ‘lessons learned’ and ‘best practices’ management process or system
Required skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred (or comparable experience)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar project management certification preferred
  • 3+ years of project management experience in a consulting or professional services environment
  • 3+ years experience with project management such as planning, methodology, process, design, etc.
  • Knowledge and content management, collection and sharing of technical and other organization relevant content
  • Experience with Red Hat technologies
  • Ability to lead and implement organizational changes
  • Communications management – experience defining and executing an ongoing communications strategy
  • Willingness to identify challenges and take initiative independently
  • Capability to work with globally diverse teams and drive consensus with larger groups
  • High level of attention to detail is required and a desire to drive continuous improvement activities
