Library Manager, Hospital of Central Connecticut
Position Duties:
Reporting to the Director of Medical Education, this position is responsible for directing the activities of the Health Sciences Library, including strategic planning, development, evaluation, and outreach functions. Administrative responsibilities include: personnel management, space planning, fiscal management, collection development, outreach, quality improvement, and maintenance of resource-sharing arrangements with library consortia. Direct Service responsibilities include: advanced computer information retrieval, reference, and teaching.
Educational Requirements: Master of Library Science
Minimum Requirements:
Three years of relevant health sciences library experience
Expert knowledge of library computer-based software
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of the National Library of Medicine Classification System and Nomenclature
Hours: Full-time; Mon. - Fri. days
